Hartland International School seeks to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Chemistry to support our expansion and provision across this phase of the school. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to our unique and strong enrichment programme which ensures that learning and opportunity are diverse for all. Science is taught at all Key Stages: Years 7 to 9 follow a course based on the Science National Curriculum using materials adapted for each student. At GCSE students follow the AQA Combined Science Trilogy specification or can opt to study Separate Sciences in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, again with AQA. All three science subjects are offered at A Level, again following the AQA specification. The science department had great success this year at both GCSE and A level and in Chemistry specifically, 50% of all grades were A*/A and 100% A*-C at A level. At GCSE, 42% of grades awarded were 9/8 and 67% awarded were 9-7 with a 100% pass rate. All science lessons are taught in purpose-built labor
