Software Engineer – Backend Engineer

Required Experience / Knowledge Areas * - 5+ years of backend development experience with at least 3 years building Spring Boot microservices. - Proven experience delivering enterprise banking, fintech, payments, digital banking, or financial services solutions. - Strong understanding of banking integration patterns, API Gateways (Kong, Layer7), and enterprise integration architecture. - Experience working within regulated environments with strong security, audit, and compliance requirements. - Experience building highly available and scalable systems supporting mission-critical customer journeys. - Understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps, cloud-native development, and containerized deployments. - Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ or other messaging technologies. - Knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Istio Service Mesh, and container orchestration platforms. Required Skills * - Strong experience in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Microservices Architecture. - Hands-on experience in designing and developing REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, and API lifecycle management. - Strong knowledge of API security including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, mTLS, and certificate management. - Experience with Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage, Application Insights, and Azure DevOps. - Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis. - Strong understanding of design patterns, distributed systems, resilience patterns, and fault tolerance mechanisms. - Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, and secure SDLC practices.
