Accountant

About the Role We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Accountant with hands-on experience in day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reconciliations, and UAE Tax compliance. You will play a key role in managing books of accounts, executing VAT filings via EmaraTax, supporting Corporate Tax readiness, and aligning invoicing workflows with upcoming UAE E-Invoicing standards of our clients. Key Responsibilities Core Accounting Operations - Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting, AP/AR, and routine bank reconciliations. - Prepare month-end journal entries and assist in financial closing procedures. - Maintain clean audit trails to support internal and external annual audits. UAE VAT & E-Invoicing - Prepare monthly/quarterly VAT workings and submit returns via the EmaraTax portal. - Evaluate Input Tax Credit (ITC) eligibility and verify VAT applicability across income streams. - Assist in transitioning invoicing workflows to comply with upcoming UAE E-Invoicing mandates. Corporate Tax (CT) & Reconciliations - Assist in evaluating expense allowability and identifying non-deductible items under UAE CT law. - Preparation of CT return workings and discussion with client - Evaluating of allowable reliefs and exemptions applicable to the client - Perform cross-reconciliations between VAT filings, Corporate Tax workings, and general ledger accounts. Who We Are Looking For - Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance (B.Com/BBA) required. (ACCA/CA students/affiliates are welcome). - Experience: 2–3 years total accounting experience, with at least 1 years in the UAE. - Tax Expertise: Hands-on experience with UAE VAT filings on EmaraTax and a solid understanding of UAE Corporate Tax concepts. - E-Invoicing Awareness: Understanding of modern e-invoicing concepts and workflows. - Tech Savvy: Proficient in major accounting software (Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, etc.) and Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables). - Location: Currently residing
